Ecart - (French : deviation)

The statistical Ecart (Estat) is an excellent measurement for the gain security of a roulette system on the even money chances.

From a statistical Ecart of 6.0, we can assume that a system is winning permanently.

The formula for the calculation of the statistical Ecart for flat betting (masse egale) on an even money chance is comparatively simple. The number of won units is to be divided by the root from the placed bets. Thus the formula reads:


G = total gain in units
b = number of placed bets

To use the statistical Ecart on systems with built-in progressions is not advisable.
